Longwood Equestrian Team
I started riding when I was about six years old. I began taking lessons at a barn close to my house. I learned to walk, trot, canter and go over small jumps.
I started riding when I was six. I took lessons with the daughter of one of my mom's coworkers. I was hooked the moment I walked in the barn.
I started taking lessons when I was five years old, moving around to different barns until I found my second home at Levremont Farm in 7th grade.
I was introduced to the sweet and caring nature of horses at the age of 16 at a small life learning center in Liberty North Carolina. I only spent a week there but in that week, I was hooked.
I'm new to the Longwood Dressage Team, but not new to horses. I have been riding since age five, when I competed in Pony Club.
I don't remember a time in my life when we didn't own horses. I began taking riding lessons as a child, and helped my mom run our breeding farm in middle school.
Hi, I'm Jess, and I'm from Richmond, VA. I've always loved horses since I was a little girl, and after many years of begging, my parents finally started paying for riding lessons when I was ten.
I've been riding for 15 years now, I started off as hunters/equitation. Then my horse became blind in one eye, so we switched to dressage and was used on the team for 2 years before I joined the team.
A couple years ago I joined what would turn out to be one of the most rewarding and challenging teams at Longwood.
I have been riding since I was about 6 years old. I started out at a hunter barn near my home and quickly advanced with the help of some amazing school masters.
I started riding at Woodland Horse Center located in Silver Spring, Maryland when I was in elementary school.
